We had a great time on the 4th of July! We celebrated by going to the local parade, going to the church cookout and of course watching the wonderful fireworks! We also celebrated my 26th birthday by having cake and gifts. My friend Alison came over for the church cookout and my mom came over for a few hours after she got off of work to visit with us and play with Sarah. Sarah enjoyed all the festivities more than I thought she would. She loved the parade and getting a few pieces of candy. She wasn't too sure about all the fire truck sirens, but she took it like a champ once we showed her to wave at them. She waved at everyone and they gave her a lot of feedback because of that. It was so cute! She had fun at the cookout, mainly because there was a dog there and she LOVES animals. The other night she really surprised me. We were reading a book and there was a picture of a dog and she pointed to it and said dog. She is so smart. She even recognizes cartoon dogs. Sarah even enjoyed the fireworks. They started around 9:15 and she is usually in bed by 9 so she was pretty tired. But she cuddled up next to her daddy and watched the whole thing. She wasn't even scared with all the big booms. But that's because her dad is always play scaring her so I think she used to loud unexpected noises. It was a long but fun day and a fantastic birthday. It was great celebrating this day with friends and family.
